IE7 without WGA ?

Microsoft is officially supporting IE7 without WGA validation.



Almost a year ago, we released Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP. Since then, IE7 is well on its way to becoming the most used browser in the world, and we’ve seen lots of evidence that IE7 makes it safer and easier to accomplish everyday tasks online. IE7 is the first – and still the only – browser with native support for Extended Validation SSL Certificates that help prevent online fraud. (Of course, tabbed browsing, QuickTabs, shrink-to-fit printing, an easily customizable search box, CSS improvements, and some add-ons are all good things too.)

IE6 and IE7 on the same machine

So, you upgraded to IE7 and to your horror you see that some of the sites like AOL Video don't work with IE7.

Internet Explorer 7 - Install it bypassing WGA

No, this is not to encourage installing IE7 on a non genuine copy of Windows. But I don't understand the why Microsoft keeps making these lame attempts to prevent people from installing it. It's so unbelievably easy to get onto Google and search for "install IE7 skip bypass WGA" and get scores of articles giving step by step instructions on how to circumvent the WGA protection.

In my opinion, people who didn't pay for Windows will never ever pay for it come what may - especially in developing countries. Either they skip the installation or switch to alternatives like Firefox

Believe me, there is nothing special in IE7. Would you mind downloading Firefox - the IE7 Alternative

IE7 Addons Site

Microsoft has an official Add-ons site for IE7 - is an equivalent of the Firefox Add-ons Site. The Add-ons are distributed through exe (executable) files and are added to your Add-Programs list

Microsoft has released IE7 - features a 'new look', tabs, RSS feed, a search box and 'improved' security. Haven't tested it out but looks like a Firefox clone - except the security part ;-)
