Would you pay for GMail?
The best web email service might have a pay version with possibly unlimited storage space.
Sergey Brin indicated that it might be similar to Google's photo hosting service

Hmm,... let me think... so far, I've only used about 6% of my free Gmail account and I've had it for a long long time. I don't see needing UNLIMITED storage anytime soon. No, I won't pay for it.
A Google service I might pay for is Google Apps for your domain, depending on the price. I've been testing it a bit and it includes Gmail, but with your own domain.
