Yahoo User Interface Library
These days, I am kept busy experimenting and making use of the Yahoo User Interface Library.
Suggested to me by a good friend, its a Javascript framework and makes your life just too easy that you can't believe it when you are developing complex javascript features.
They have now released a new improved version - read more about it! which features Buttons, Datatables and Browser History Manager
What more? its based on BSD license - so, all the more freedom
Three cheers to Yahoo!

Splitpane sucks
I’ve recently been involved in some discussions surrounding ixd issues and attempted to use Yahoo Mail and Google Mail as examples of bad/good interface design techniques. There was a lot of push back because there were no follow up details outlining why one was good and the other bad. A complete analysis of the two applications would take much longer and require more effort than a random blog posting so I decided to focus on one core annoyance I have with Yahoo Mail - its use of ye old “Split Pane” re-sizable control.

Trackmenot - messing the search engine data

Trackmenot is a Firefox extension which lets you 'protect' yourself from surveillance and data profiling by the search engines. Basically, it sits in the background on Firefox and keeps sending random ghost search queries to various search engines including Google, Yahoo, MSN & AOL
